Blasphemy: a serious Audacity

Faheem Haider

The Essence of Rehmat-e-Alam (peace be upon him) is the great Essence, for the remembrance of which one has to wash the combustion with musk and rose a thousand times. It is being narrated but not a single chapter of their description has been fulfilled.

Whether Hazrat Hassan bin Sabit or Saadi Shirazi, Imam Ahmad Raza Barelvi or Hafiz Mazhar-ud-Din, Hazrat Zia-ul-Amat or Maulana Maududi, there is a school of Jamil mentioned in poetry and prose. I wasn’t able to say something in honor of my master, but it is a fact that the heart of every believer is inhabited by the love of the Prophet (SAWW).

In the veins of every Muslim, love of Muhammad (SAWW) runs like a messenger of blood. That’s why the person of the Lord of the Worlds has always been a sensitive issue for the Muslims. Every believer considers himself present in the presence of his Lord. Your remembrance brings relief to the heart and praise gives peace to the soul. Anti-Islamic forces also have a sense of sensitivity of the Muslim world. The Prophet (PBUH) is constantly attacked at different times.

Sometimes it seems that all this is being done under an organized campaign, but the fourteen centuries history of Islam shows that Muslims have never shown weakness in this matter and no compromise has been made on the glory of their Lord and Master. Whether Muslims are dominant or defeated, their passion for the Master of two worlds has remained the same. When the power of Muslims was at its peak in Spain, then a series of insults were started in Shaan of Muhammad (SAWW) but the government and the ulema of that time fought the conspiracy together.

When Muslims were living a life of slavery in the subcontinent, then under the auspices of the British government a series of insults to Islamic beliefs and mercy of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was started. Gustakh published a heartbreaking book. Muslims all over India reacted against it and it ended with the assassination of Rajpal by Ghazi Alam Din Shaheed.

During a TV show in India on May 17, 2022, the spokesperson of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party of India, Nopur Sharma, uttered insulting words in honor of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). But it was not implemented and then protests started against this insolence all over India. During this protest many Muslims were martyred. The whole Muslim world took notice of this.

The OIC, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, the Maldives, Afghanistan and Pakistan, reacted strongly, even to the point that the UN Secretary-General urge respect for all religions. Modi massacred Muslims in Gujarat; Muslims were burnt to ashes in a train. The assassination and its extremist attitude have created a sense of insecurity among all the minorities in India. Along with Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and Parsis are also victims of Hindu extremist attitudes.

The veil of secularism in India has been severely torn. Today it is not the India of Nehru and Abul Kalam Azad but the country of a fascist and racist fanatic like Modi. He did not condemn the attitude of the BJP leaders, which made it clear that all this was happening under their auspices. Freedom movements are going on in more than 10 states. And the time is not far when their country will be torn to pieces for the blasphemy of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). After the blasphemous incident in India Like the countries, the Pakistani nation also expressed its sentiments but the government could not go beyond the traditional and official response.

Mr. Prime Minister of Pakistan, some issues should be looked at beyond political expediency. You yourself claim to belong to a religious family. You will remember that when bad times befell you, you got your first refuge in this court. Today is the time to be faithful to this court. In the Foreign Office It is also appropriate to summon the ambassador, it is also appropriate to discuss this issue in Parliament for a few hours, but put your hand on your heart and tell me whether these steps are enough?

You should try to take a collective stand on this issue by contacting the heads of all Islamic countries, raise your voice effectively in the UN forum, former Prime Minister Imran Khan said on the UN platform in an effective manner. The same effective voice is needed today, give up political expediency, and play the role that the nation is demanding from you. This nation will not forgive you and then there is the matter of the Hereafter, what will you answer there?
