A 17-year-old girl in Nepal has accused Sandeep Lamichhane, the captain of the Nepali cricket team, of rape. In the meantime, Nepali police have opened an investigation into the player following a young girl's rape complaint.

According to a report in the Nepali news outlet "Online Khabar," Bharat Bahadur Bohora, the head of the Kathmandu District Police Range, said the police circle in the city's Gaushala submitted the complaint on Wednesday.
